Christian Funeral Services
Commitment
Our commitment is to provide Christ-centered care for those touched by death. We are anxious to provide the highest level of Christian service to families in their own church.
Christian Funeral Services is family-owned and operated, continuing a tradition that began with the late Rev. Edsel Clark. We are the Hultgren family, who also own Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton and Hultgren Funeral and Cremation Center in Carol Stream. Tim Hultgren, his wife Susan, and his father, Vern, are licensed funeral directors. Brad Aardema, Abi Davoust, and Matthew Praznowski are also funeral directors. The staff also includes Rev. Darcy Kolschefski, who is a Family Service Counselor, providing preplanning and aftercare.
We have the best facilities that you may never see (and that you do not need to pay for). Our concept is that the visitation or wake, as well as the funeral service, take place in your local church. We come to you. An arrangement conference may be at your home, your church, or by computer. We are available when you need us, 24/7.
For those who choose cremation, we own a private crematory, ensuring that the process is done with care and respect.
Christian Funeral Services is honored to serve anyone in the Greater Chicago Suburban area and has an extensive and growing list of communities in which we have served, including (listed alphabetically): Alsip, Arlington Heights, Aurora, Bolingbrook, Brookfield, Burbank, Chicago, Darien, Downers Grove, Elk Grove Village, Elmhurst, Evergreen Park, Glenview, Joliet, LaGrange, Lemont, Lisle, Medinah, Melrose Park, Monee, Mt. Prospect, Naperville, Norridge, Oak Lawn, Orland Park, Palos Heights, Park Ridge, Rockford, Rosemont, Schaumburg, South Barrington, Tinley Park, Westchester, Western Springs, Wilmette, Zion and others.
"By providing compassionate, cost-effective care to those who have been touched by death,
we seek to honor God, in whom lies our strength."
A message from Tim Hultgren:
While culture changes around us, we are confident in the security God has provided through his Son. Through faith we know that death is not the end and that, although we grieve, we do not grieve as those without hope. I and those I work with understand and believe this truth. While we are anxious to talk to you about the services we provide, we will not pressure you to make any decisions. Nor are any of our employees rewarded with commissions. My personal cell phone is 630-532-7621. If you have any issues with our services or questions, feel free to call me directly.
Lord Bless, Tim
