Obituary

Nona L. Osborne, age 85, a resident of New Lenox, and formerly of Oak Lawn, and Altamont, died Monday, May 26, at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet. She was born on September 2, 1922 in Watson, Illinois to Dewey and Sadie Byers.

Nona married Fred Osborne on November 15, 1941 in Chicago. She was a kind woman who devoted her life to her family. She loved to cook, collect recipes, and enjoyed music and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by three children, Kay (Bill) Weidner, Frederick D. (Nancy), and Lynn (Gary) Ingram; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Helen Creamer; one brother, Richard Byers; sister-in-law, Mary Lewis; her dear friend, Wilma Brown and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; one brother, Howard Byers and one sister, Betty Henegar.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, from 4 until 9 P.M. at Parkview Christian Church, 183rd and Wolf Road, in Orland Park where a service will be held on Friday, May 30, at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Lonnie Caha officiating. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Parkview Christian Church Chapel Fund, 11100 Orland Parkway, Orland Park, IL 60467; or to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Squad, Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421.
