Mildred Elizabeth Roney Adamson, age 98, a resident of Village Woods, in Crete, IL, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Franciscan St. James Health, in Chicago Heights, IL. She was born April 18, 1914 in Evanston, IL.

Mildred worked for General Wax Paper as a bookkeeper and statistician. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Illinois.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Katherine) Adamson, and John (Florence) Adamson; two daughters, Linda (Richard) Alexander, and Nancy Peterson; and seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Adamson; and her son, James Adamson.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Lawn Bible Church, 9435 S. 54th Ave., Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn, IL.
