Dorothy Davies McKay, age 87, of Orland Park, died Friday, August 25, at Smith Crossing in Orland Park. She was born February 18, 1919 in Chicago.

Dorothy was a member of the Palos Heights PEO - Chapter HM, also a member of Infant Welfare, and the Red Hat Club of Smith Crossing.

She is survived by her sons, Robert A. (Sydney) McKay, Douglas A. (Joan) McKay, and Ronald J. (Mary Ellen) McKay; her daughter, Holly A. (Kurt) Marhoefer; her grandchildren, Graham, Andrew, Heather, Alison, Rachel, Robert, Colby, Ashley, Michael, and Ronald McKay, Eli and Courtney Rigsby, Brooke and Zac Adams, and Eric and Hillary Marhoefer; her great-grandchildren, Madison and Ainsley McKay, and Bronwyn and Ellie Rigsby; her sister, Olive L. Eckman; her sister-in-law, Erla Davies; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. McKay; and her grandson, David S. McKay of Mokena.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 1, at 3:00 P.M. at Parkview Christian Church, 11100 Orland Parkway (183rd and Wolf Rd), in Orland Park with the Rev. Lonnie Caha officiating. Interment is private.
