Carolyn C. Brown, age 48, a resident of Aurora, IL, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. She was born September 12, 1960 in Hartford, WI.

Carolyn earned her Associate's Degree at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. She later was trained as a Phlebotomist and worked many years at Provena Mercy Hospital in Aurora. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and loved football season. She also enjoyed outdoor activities like camping and fishing. She was a creative person and was known to craft gifts for her family and friends annually. She was also a collector of Lighthouses and Goofy (Disney) figurines. She loved her three dogs, two dachshunds, Jessie and Muggs, and a cockapoo named Buster.

She is survived by her sister, Sharon L. Plautz of Downers Grove, IL; her brother, Dean (Elvira) Brown of Sparta, WI; her niece, Celeste Plautz; two nephews, Chuck Brown, and Marcel Brown; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Randolph and Florence Brown.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, from 4-8 P.M. at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, 525 63rd St., in Downers Grove, where visitation will continue on Saturday, March 28, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a funeral service at 11:00 A.M.

A prayer service will be held on Monday, March 30, at Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St. in Hartford, WI. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
