Billy Ray Couch, age 44, a resident of Streamwood, died suddenly Tuesday, October 19, 2010. He was born in Chicago on August 30, 1966.
Billy grew up in Aniston, Alabama, where he graduated from Weaver High School. He then finished trade school in cabinetry. In 1998 he met Alyce Halperin, and they were married on April 26, 1999 in Coleman, Alabama. He went on to graduate at the top of his class from trucking school and worked as a truck driver for Warner, J.B. Hunt and most recently for B & B Trucking. He had a big heart and cared for others and could fix anything. He loved animals, movies, fishing, hunting, electronics, country music and especially his nieces and nephews. While in his 20's, he went to school and became a minister and served at a small church and officiated at many weddings.
He is survived by his wife, Alyce, his parents, John and Karen Steward, his siblings, Ray, Deborah, Merideth, Joyce, Tammy, Jonathan, Jeff and Charlie, many nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law, Jeny, father-in-law, Michael (Cindy), and brothers-in-law, Daniel (Sylvana) and Tyler Halperin. He was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 24th at 1:30 p.m. at Elk Grove Baptist Church, 801 Beisner Rd., Elk Grove Village,
