Barbara Joan Fredendall, nee Brownlow, ascended to the Lord on Thursday, July 8, 2010 surrounded by family.
Barb worked in management of Jewelry for many years before her retirement. She started working at her father in law's store "Fredendall's Jewelry" and loved it, jewelry became her passion.
After working there for many years, she became manager for several jewelry stores.
Barb also was an avid golfer, another passion of hers. Not only did she golf as much as she could, she loved to play tennis. She met some wonderful friends during those years.
She was involved in the Orland Park Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Orland Park Civic Center Authority, member of several committees at her church and helped everyone and anyone with anything they needed.
Most of all Barb's passion was her family, she and Pudge would have been married 55 years this year. Her family meant more to her than anything else. She made every holiday, every birthday more special than the last. In the last few weeks of her life, she still told her family she loved them.
She bought this sentiment for each of her family, it said this:
"Families are like quilts, lives pieced together, stitched with smiles & tears, bound with love & memories that last throughout the years."
She would light up a room with her beautiful smile and make everyone she met feel special. She will be missed more than words can say.
Barb is the cherished wife of Lloyd "Pudge" Fredendall Jr.; beloved daughter of the late James and Josephine Brownlow; loving mother of Jo Ann R. (Robert) McGowan, Kathleen R.
