Obituary

Adele V. Anderson, age 89, a resident of Rosemont, and formerly of Chicago (St. Benedict Parish), died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Alden Healthcare Center in DesPlaines. She was born Monday, February 2, 1920 in Chicago to Anton and Mary Miller.

During the depression Adele left school and began to work at DyDee Wash. She also worked at Bell and Howell and at Victor Comptometer. In order to care for her grandchildren she retired early. She was passionate about her family and her church and was a member of TOPS Club and Sisters of Notre Dame.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Sonny) Fisher of DesPlaines, three grandchildren, Jennifer (Ted) Chropkowski of Algonquin, Todd (Jill) Fisher of Lake In The Hills, and Carrie (Brett) Ratajczak of Algonquin, four great-grandchildren, Evan, Logan, Hudson and Lilee as well as one on the way, one sister, Elsie Lux of DesPlaines and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley "Babe" Anderson and five brothers.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Hope Church, 9711 W. Devon Ave., Rosemont, IL, where a service will be held at 6:30 P.M.

Interment will be held privately at All Saints Cemetery in DesPlaines, Illinois.
